Trust me, quitting email is a time-saver. And yes, I’ve an idea how to waste the additional spare time: Tomorrow I’ll have paid me a beer for a link to myself. And I can think of way more link monkey business that doesn’t involve email.
1) Actually, “forwarding” comes with a slighly shady downside:
If you continue to send me your (unsolicited) emails, you’ll find all your awkward secrets on literally tons of automatically generated Web pages –nicely plastered with very targeted ads and usually x-rated or otherwise NSFW banners–, hosted on throw-away domains.
I’m such a devil.

Yeah, I do get a lot of those. And yes, email has been losing its usefulness over the last few years - i even find myself not checking it daily
This certainly sounds like a brave step, but I can see from your correspondence with various spam why you have decided to do so. I’d just like to know what your alternative is for email (for other kinds of correspondences)? How has it effected your lifestyle and business? How often do you get paid links?
[1: IM, Twitter, Friendfeed, and a business email acct. with a great spam filter for affiliate programs and such stuff. 2: I’ve gained spare time. 3: Anytime UPS or FedEx deliver new t-shirts ;)]
